Canberra says No to Hanson: Campaign Launch

Pauline Hanson’s One Nation is on the rise again, pushing racism and blaming migrants for the housing crisis while backing the billionaires actually responsible. While the major parties accommodate or ignore this, Canberra Socialists are launching Canberra Says No to Hanson to confront it head-on. Join us to leaflet, poster, and help build a real socialist opposition to Hanson and the system behind her.

Pauline Hanson’s One Nation party, a vile scourge since the nineties, has risen from the ashes of the Liberal Party in South Australia. One Nation picked up 22% of the vote and 4 seats on a platform of anti-immigration and after comments that there are “no good Muslims”. They want to replicate their success across the country.

Join us for the launch of our campaign Canberra Says No to Hanson. Where the major parties seek to accommodate or ignore this far right threat, the Canberra Socialists want to confront it head on. One Nations blames migrants for the housing crisis while backing the billionaires and property developers who are actually responsible.

We need a socialist party that can fight for real solutions to the housing crisis, not tinker around the edges. On the campaign launch day we will be handing out leaflets, putting up posters, and talking to people about the need to stand up to the racist One Nation. Get involved and help us build a socialist opposition to Hanson.
